My WoW is currently made up of Noblegarden, Argent Tournament and Peggle.

Argent Tournament is the first thing.  I do the Champion and Valiant dailies every day, I'm Champion of Darnassus and Gnomeregan so far on my druid.  I've found that the easiest way to joust is...

1. Put up full shields.
2. Engage competitor  (I actually find the Horde ones easier than the Alliance)
3. Stand behind them and get the first charge off.
4. Quickly spin around and jump to turn faster.  Hit shield break as you run back.
5. Make sure your shield is full.  Every time the NPC runs away, repeat 3-5.

I have the Teldrassil Sproutling so far, it's so cute!  I'm hoping to get all of the pets first.

I also discovered that I look like I'm having more fun if I joust as a tree.

I'm currently staying at my boyfriend's house.  He's a WoW player, I've mentioned him before.  Today we both logged on to get ready for a raid, him on his desktop and me sitting on the bed with my laptop.  When he got up to go to the bathroom, I sat down and said some things in his guildchat about him liking ponies and left him on the balcony of the purple parlour, dancing with no pants on.

In revenge, when I got up to go out, he left my warlock in Goldshire with no robe or pants, dancing on the mailbox.

I consider this an unfair escalation of revenge.

He's at work all day Weds.

as there a more controversial holiday?

I don't do the holiday achievements.  I don't have a lot of playtime and I'd rather do other things than try to get the achievements.  Not to mention that I'd never decide what character to get them on.

My boyfriend, my guildmates and various other friends have been doing them, though.  I spent a while on Sunday logging onto my boyfriend's character to try and get him the last achievement.  It was ... take a guess ... Be Mine.  He did everything else, got just about everything out of the presents that was possible ... except for bags of candy.  The first one that I did while he was at work got a bag and pulling the candies out left him with two candies to get.  Five presents later and no more candy.  He got home and did the next one himself, got a bag, and managed to get the last candy pieces he needed.  This was Sunday night.

A guildy has got the achievement on three of his four characters, and that's from focusing insanely on it (and his last character needing one candy).  I know other people who didn't even get it on one.  I think I got the candy achievement on one character, just from opening candy bags for a giggle to fill up the boyfriend's mailbox.  ;)

I do think that they should consider taking the candy achievement off the meta, or perhaps making it "get 20 pieces of candy" and it not matter which ones they are.  It's not very fair to make it such a random achievement for a week-long event.

In my own mini-test, I had two pieces of candy left to get on my warlock and three bags in her inventory today so I decided to go ahead and pull them out.

Short post, I'm off work sick and feel pretty bad.

What's going on at the moment?

- Working on getting my warlock's epic flying.  I'm at about 1500 gold, with maybe 2000g worth of stuff on the AH that may or may not sell.

- Working on some random achievements, I'm hoping to get some more books for Higher Learning after the rolling restarts today.

- Instancing on my druid and my warlock.  Did CoS again a few days ago, managed the timed run for about the 4th or 5th time with some friends, and got my drake!  It helped that three of them already had it.

It's not really a Christmas story, persay ... it could have happened at any time.  But it happened on Christmas Eve, so I'm claiming it as one, goshdarnit!

I was out questing in Scalawag Point on my druid (newly respecced to boomkin, which is a lot of fun - going back resto once I hit 80) in Howling Fjord when I saw a yellow dot on my radar.  Ore!  Getitgetitgetit!  I raced around the hill and up, to get the precioussssss.

There I saw an orc death knight fighting a trio of bears.  I jumped into boomkin and helped him finish them off, then we did the good ol' emote communication.  He took some whacks at the ore, then I did.  Nice and sharing and I rode off with a smile.  I hate when people ninja nodes off me, so I try not to do it to others (occasionally I just don't see them, but I make an effort not to do it on purpose).

Doesn't end there!

A few minutes later, I get a whisper from a very flatteringly-named lowbie and we have a short conversaton.



That was so nice :D

I've not put his (or her) name in here in case they don't wish to be named, but I'll be pointing them in this direction.

Thank you again!  It was a really nice gesture to go to the trouble of making a toon, and it was good to share the ore.

This is mostly for Maelwyn/Admosmori as he didn't see it.

The background: We were running a last 70 hoorah in Kara last night for fun and to get some people levelling gear.  We were doing a quick loot system, where people had 5 seconds to roll on an item.

The NPC decided that Admosmori wasn't being authorative enough.





And on an expansion update: I have Wrath downloaded and installed, and now I'm just frantically refreshing my e-mail every 10 seconds in the hopes that my Dad has magically got the delivery and e-mailed me the code while he's probably at work.  You never know.

I hopped on briefly to see who was about and most of my best playing buddies are on and exploring Northrend for the first time.  I logged back off, it was too painful!

As I said on Youtube, I'll post comments (Ones on my blog will be screened if they're too abusive) but I ask people to be positive.

So, it seems that not only did we crash the server, but the game as well.

Oops.

There're a lot of nagative comments cropping up already over at Big Red Kitty.  Am I surprised?  Nope.  Does it make me sad?  Absolutely.  BRK and the others just wanted to run an event in memory of a very special little boy, and I think he would have enjoyed it.  The servers coming down was an unforseen circumstance.  When the last Running of a Bulls went down, this didn't happen, so who was to know it would happen now?

Argent Dawn is my home server, as I've said before.  It doesn't bother me in the slightest that it crashed for a while.  If people are so caught up in the game that they have to whine and complain about not being able to play for an hour or so because of a bunch of people gathering to honour a memory and encourage donations, they need to take a step back and look at things.  What about all of the parents and families who lose people forever, not just for a few hours?  What about all the terminally ill kids who lose their own lives, not their virtual ones?

Grow up.  Go and hug your parents, your kids or whomever is there, and be thankful for them.  Watch TV or go outside while the servers come back up.  Leave your negativity out there, because we all know that things could be a heck of a lot worse than you not being able to farm herbs for an hour.
