Killing the Dragon Killer

Last night, me and some friends joined a group in killing Gruul.  High King Maulgar went down first try, although we lost a lot of the raid.  I ended up helping to heal the main tank while the shaman was throwing lightning bolts at me.  Yay for trees!

It took us three tries for Gruul, but we got him to go splat.  The raid was far from perfect, but it was a LOT of fun and I was impressed with everyone.  Here's hoping it happens again and I get my leggings.  ;)

I'm the tree in the back.

Congrats! Gruul's Lair is actually fun stuff if you are not trashing SSC and such all the time.

On Saturday, my guild, for once, had enough people online that grabbing a few extra players would get us into it. Most of us had been there with other runs, but this was our first "Guild Run."

Mulgore took us 5 tries to get right. We just couldn't get our magetank (who was appropriately geared) to stay up for the first 15 seconds. Two of those tries was one of our silly shammies dropping totems in range and starting the pull. The 5th try was glorious Mulgore Chaos that we destroyed. Much fun.

The Big Ogre himself was actually kind of anti-climactic. One shot him just as Growth 12 hit. We lost one healer early, but a well placed Battle Rez fixed that issue. 3 Defender legs dropped as well, so 3 of the 4 priests who wanted them got their T4.

It was relatively quick and fun as heck!
