Over at Blog Azeroth, Siha of the Banana Shoudlers blog(a great Paladin blog) asked what is the first in several shared blog topics, so I felt I would answer here.
I love the RP of the Paladin, though not entirely their background. The Holy Warrior, the person in heavy durable plate who can help in many ways as well as protect himself, this is a truly admirable RP goal. I have always loved the class, since I was in the stress test and learned that Leather on a Paladin is wasted. The lore is rich too. Uther. Arthas. Tirion. The Scarlet's, the Dawn, Paladins play a huge role in the history of Azeroth, humanity, and all that can be good.
I loved the stories of Uther the Lightbringer, who could destroy many with simply a wish, who cold control the powers of the light and take them away if not deserved. Anduinn Lothar, who chose the first paladins and showed them their future, their place in the annals of time. Arthas, the saddest of all the stories of the Paladins, who sought to bring salvation to his people, but instead brought them death and destruction. Tirion, who gave up title, home, and was willing to give up his life for the enemy of his people because he gave his word of honor as a Paladin. These and more are why I play my main's class, a Paladin.
