Anyway, the Argent Tournament is upon us, and during last night's recording of episode #110 Medros was lamenting that he was hard pressed to win the jousting dailies. Aside from having a friend help DPS your opponent down, here's something you can try (courtesy of Wowhead):

*Equip your lance and mount your horse. Ride up to your chosen opponent and stack your defense debuff 3 times.

*Engage the opponent in MELEE combat. Stay at close range and refresh your defense when you need to. Defense shares a cooldown with your ranged abilities, but not melee.

*Eventually your opponent will try to get some distance from you to do a ranged attack. As soon as s/he is far enough away, charge their rear. Do NOT wait for them to turn around!

*After the charge, immediately return to melee range and refresh your defense if you need to.

*Rinse and repeat until you WIN!

Okay, folks, so the All Things Azeroth show guild, Pwnography, was officially registered on Echo Isles US about ten minutes ago. My death knight, Bacoes, is currently the guild master, and Medros has rolled an alt, Meddie, to help with guild administration for the time being.

We want this to be a fun guild where everyone can come together to quest, craft, do dungeons together, and just have fun. As such, we need some rules 'n' regulations. So, here we go:

*All members must abide by the World of Warcraft EULA.

*This is a guild for members of all ages. Please refrain from excessive profanity and explicit sexual talk in guild chat. Take it to a private channel.

*Treat others as you would like to be treated. Flaming, harassment, and intimidation will not be tolerated.

*We will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of age, race, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or anything else.

*Do not beg for items or gold.

*Reports of ninja-looting, AFKing out of battlegrounds, and other unsportsmanlike conduct will be taken seriously. Sportsmanlike conduct is expected in all battlegrounds. Please do not put the guild in the position of having to remove you from our ranks. We'd like to keep this fun and not awkward.

*Members will be held responsible for their actions and the actions of their characters. If a friend or family member logs into your account and stirs up trouble, YOU will be held accountable.

*The guild does not have an official loot policy. Please make sure all members of your party are aware of the loot rules before you begin.

This is just the first draft; I'll be adding more to it as things progress.

I know, right? I'll give you a few seconds to pick your jaw back up off the floor.

Those of you who have been listening to the past few episodes of All Things Azeroth know that we are trying to get something of a "show guild" up and running on Echo Isles US. I have received several positive responses, and I wanted to put the information out here as well. If you are interested in joining our guild, send a tell to Grumplegut or Bacoes on Echo Isles US. We need ten people to sign a charter, folks. Let's get it off the ground!

As Medros and I said on episode 97, neither of us has the time nor the inclination to manage a guild right now. That said, we will happily play, quest, and instance on Echo Isles, as long as we don't have to do the dirty work of guild administration- at least not all of it. I'm fine wielding the ban stick, as long as I'm not the only one who has to do it. So, I guess what I'm saying is that we're looking for a person or two who feel that they have the time to take care of what may potentially become a large guild someday. It would be a really awesome way to interact with the listeners! I'm frantically trying to get my druid, Grumplegut, up to at least Outland level, and last night I rolled my Tauren Death Knight, Bacoes. He's most of the way through the starting experience; a few more quests and he'll take the Orgrimmar "walk of shame" and then be on his way to Outland. I'm so excited to experience the BC and WTLK content from the Horde perspective; it'll be like an entirely new game!

I am still wiping the post-respec drool off of my keyboard, people. In the span of two minutes, I got my felguard back, gained a kickass demon form AND and extra 350 DPS. I have a 2/51/8 build.

Some highlights:

Demon Form. Need I say more? You gain demon form by speccing into "Metamorphosis", which turns you in a shadowy purple demon for 30 seconds. During this time, your armor is increased by 600%, damage is increased by 20%, your chance to be critically hit by melee attacks is reduced by 6%, and the duration of stun and snare effects is reduced by 50%. There are also unique demon abilities to put on your hot bar. The best part? The three-minute cooldown. That's right- three minutes, meaning you can use it very, very often.

Demonic Empowerment. Grants the Warlock's summoned demon Empowerment.

Succubus- Instantly vanishes, causing the Succubus to go into an improved Invisibility state. The vanish effect removes all stuns, snares and movement impairing effects from the Succubus.

Voidwalkder- Increases the Voidwalker's health by 20%, and its threat generated from spells and attacks by 20% for 20 seconds.

Imp- Increases the Imp's spell critical strike chance by 20% for 30 seconds.

Felhunter- Dispels all magical effects from the Felhunter.

Fel Guard- Increases the Fel Guard's attack speed by 20% and breaks all stun, snare and movement impairing effects and makes your Fel Guard immune to them. Lasts 15 seconds.

Fel Synergy (Rank Two). Your summoned Demons share an additional 10% of your Armor, Intellect and Stamina, and you have a 100% chance to heal your pet for 15% of the amount of damage done by you.

I feel like a mage with a crap ton of stamina. I'm almost unkillable, and I burn stuff down fast, fast, fast.

I also respecced by rogue, but I rarely play her at this point so frankly I can't remember what I did.

Thanks to everyone who came to Stickam for the live recording of Episode 57 last night! A good time was had by all, despite numerous technical difficulties (thanks, Comcast). The archive should be posted in the next two days or so.

The new patch is currently downloading; I'm so upset that I have to teach between 3:30 and 8pm tonight, so I won't be there for the first few moments with the new content. I teach classical singing, by the way, for those who don't know, and I also enjoy a career as a harpist. Maybe this will be a blessing in disguise and I'll avoid some server cues and other potential glitches.

Since the new talents will be live tonight, the first thing I have to do is respec all of the toons that I play on a regular basis:

Tallis (Warlock): currently almost fully Destro. I've been missing that Felguard, though, so I'm not quite sure what changes tonight will bring.

Graece (Rogue): currently combat swords (not combat daggers, as I mistakenly say on the most recent episode). I'm using her mainly for her herbalism and alchemy, so I'm not as interested in the changes for rogues at this point.

Cosmas (Mage): he's about to ding 52, so I'll probably keep him mostly in fire for leveling.

Graece (Druid on Argent Dawn): she's only level 7 or 8, so no talent points yet. She'll eventually be either resto or feral; probably level feral and then go resto if she ever gets into the endgame.

Here's to lots of fun playing the patch!

Har har.

If you have ideas that you'd like heard on the show, leave me a comment! We've got 30 of these babies to pop out.
